Across the OSMTJ, training is carried out through a unified curriculum that includes Basic Training, Templar History, the Virtues of Knighthood, Leadership and Ministry, Protocols, and additional courses soon to be released.
Enrollment in the Knights Institute is open to fully vetted members of the OSMTJ. The Order remains committed to giving every Templar a strong foundation and the guidance needed as they begin their journey.

Institute Mission
To educate, train, and inspire each Templar to embrace and exercise their own God‑given gifts and leadership style, so that each graduate is recognized as a person of integrity and character, committed to their Christian faith as lived through the Knightly Virtues, and prepared for excellence in dedication and service to GOD, their family, community, nation, priory, and the OSMTJ.

The Training Hall serves as the first chamber of the Knights Institute, where every new Templar begins their journey of formation and steps onto the path of Modern Knighthood. Here, recruits are introduced to the foundational principles, expectations, and disciplines that shape the path ahead. This space is designed to prepare the mind and spirit, offering clarity, structure, and a sense of sacred purpose before entering the coursework that begins their formal Templar training.

His presence reminds each student that the journey ahead requires discipline, resilience, and a willingness to carry the banner of Christ with honor. Crusader embodies the courage and steadfastness expected of every graduate who seeks to walk the ancient path of Knights Templar service.
The Knights Institute Mascot is a white War Horse named Crusader.

Your first step on this path is the CAA “Companion At Arms” coursework — the required foundation for all who enter the Knights Templar. From there, the journey widens into a structured series of lessons, advanced studies, and specialized training that will guide you through the full breadth of Templar education.
